DAY ONE
Friday night
6pm – 8pm
On this night the facilitator, Marie McKinney-Oates, will do all the talking. Well, MOST of the talking. Marie will cover 4 different topics: Personality Type, Love Languages, Finances, and Sex.
You will take short quizzes that will give you better idea of who you are and who your fiance is. Marie will breakdown how the different personality types fit together, how to meet each others love language needs, and how finances and sex can trip a couple up during the first year.
This is a great night because you learn so much about yourself and your partner. The workshop is over by 8 pm so there is more than enough time for you and your fiance to enjoy a quick date night. Grab some drinks and dessert and talk about what you learned!
DAY TWO
Saturday morning
9am – 12pm
We get started early the next morning, but don’t worry because there will be coffee and donuts waiting for you. You’ll need the energy because today it’s all about practice, practice, practice!
The second day is all about you and your partner interacting. We will talk about what bad communication looks like and why bad habits can lead to disastrous arguments. We will then learn what makes good communication good. And when we’re done learning you guys will begin practicing (no worries, there will be no “role playing” or acting in front of the workshop…all practice will remain between the couple).
We will close the workshop with Mark Oates (Marie’s husband). He’ll walk you through how to change those nasty, drawn out fights into short & sweet ones. This part of the workshop is a big hit with the guys (second only to the sex stuff).

Ok. We aren’t really promising that. But we are promising that you’ll have fun, grow closer as a couple, and get a $60 discount on your TN marriage license.
